This Advertising Policy explains what AYE Market does not do, and describes the paid promotion tools sellers can use to give their own listings more visibility. It works alongside our Listing Policy and Terms of Service.

2. Promotion tools for sellers
Sellers who want extra visibility for their own listings can choose from three paid tiers:

3. Rules for promoted content
Paying for promotion does not exempt a listing from any rule that applies to ordinary listings. A boosted or Premium listing must still fully comply with our Listing Policy and Community Guidelines — accurate category, honest price, real photos, truthful description. A listing found to violate those policies can be removed and its promotion refunded or forfeited under the same terms as any other removal, regardless of how much was paid to boost it.
4. No implied endorsement
A Premium badge, Premium+ badge, or boosted placement reflects that a seller paid for extra visibility and ranking — it is not a review, verification of quality, or endorsement of the seller or their item by AYE Tech Hub. Sellers may not describe their promoted status as "AYE Market approved," "AYE Market verified" (verification is a separate, unrelated identity process — see our Seller Policy), or otherwise imply an endorsement that promotion does not provide.
5. Manual payment & admin approval
Paid promotion is currently activated through a manual process: you submit a payment reference and receipt in the app, and an administrator reviews and approves the request before boosted placement, badges, or ranking benefits go live. Because approval requires human review, activation isn't instant — see our Terms of Service for the full payments and refund terms that apply to these purchases. Automated payment methods are planned; when introduced, this policy applies equally to them.
6. Enforcement
Misusing promotion — for example, boosting a listing that violates the Listing Policy, or falsely implying AYE Market endorsement — is handled under the same enforcement ladder as any other policy violation: correction or removal for a first minor issue, escalating to suspension for repeated or serious misuse. See the ladder in our Community Guidelines.
7. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and forms part of the agreement described in our Terms of Service.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as promotion tools and pricing evolve. Material changes are reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and version above; pricing changes apply only to future purchases, never to a promotion period already paid for.
