1. AYE Market is 18+
AYE Market is a marketplace and jobs platform intended exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older. Our Terms of Service make this a condition of creating an account. The app is not directed at children, contains no child-targeted content or features, and is rated accordingly on Google Play.
2. We do not knowingly collect children's data
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Because account creation requires accepting our 18+ Terms, any account belonging to a minor exists in violation of those Terms — and the data associated with it was collected without our knowledge or intent.
3. What we do when we find an underage account
- The account is suspended immediately upon credible indication that the holder is under 18.
- The account and its personal data are deleted following the same permanent deletion process described on our Account Deletion page.
- Where a parent or guardian contacts us about a child's account, we act on that report with priority and confirm once deletion is complete.
4. Content involving minors
Independent of who holds an account, our Community Guidelines categorically prohibit any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors — in listings, photos, chat, job posts, or anywhere else on the platform. Such content is removed immediately, the account is permanently banned, and where the law requires it, reports are escalated to the relevant authorities.
5. Job postings and minors
Employers on AYE Market must comply with Ethiopian labour law, including its rules on the minimum working age and prohibited work for young persons. Job postings that solicit child labour violate our Community Guidelines and are removed, with account enforcement to match.
6. Parents & guardians: how to report
If you believe your child — or any minor — has created an AYE Market account or appears in content on the platform:
- Email ayetechub@gmail.com with the account name or listing link, or
- Use the in-app Report button on the account or listing.
These reports go to a human moderator and are handled with priority.
